What is Ghana Mule?

Ghana Mule is a peer-to-peer international delivery platform that connects travelers with people who need items delivered across borders. Travelers can earn extra income by using their unused luggage space, while senders benefit from faster or more affordable transport.

Is it free to use?

Creating an account is free. Payments or donations are voluntary or negotiated directly between sender and traveler for each transaction. Ghana Mule does not charge platform fees at this time.

Who handles customs and import fees?

The sender and receiver are solely responsible for customs duties, taxes, or restrictions. Travelers should never carry anything without confirming legal compliance. Ghana Mule does not handle customs paperwork and cannot intervene in customs-related delays or issues.

Do I need to declare items and check what’s allowed?

Yes. Travelers are legally required to declare items that meet customs thresholds and must not carry prohibited or restricted goods. Senders must confirm whether their item is legal to export or import based on both the origin and destination countries.

Is the platform safe to use?

All travelers must upload a valid government-issued ID, which is securely stored. However, this does not constitute endorsement or background checks. Use good judgment, communicate clearly, and meet in public spaces. Report suspicious activity to our Support Team.

How do I manage my account or get support?

You can reset your password via the login page, and update profile info anytime under "Account Settings." For help, visit the “Contact” page to reach support via WhatsApp — we typically respond within 8 hours.

What is required to send a package through the platform?

To send a package, you must provide accurate pickup and drop-off details, agree to the platform’s terms, and ensure the contents comply with our prohibited items policy. Sensitive or restricted contents may be subject to additional review or restrictions.

Can I send anything I want?

No. Items that are illegal, hazardous, perishable (unless permitted), or restricted by local, national, or international law are not allowed. Please refer to our Prohibited Items Policy before submitting a request.

What happens after I request a package delivery?

Once your request is submitted, verified Travelers will be able to view and accept it based on their travel route and timing. You will be notified once a match is made and will have the opportunity to confirm the Traveler before proceeding.

Is my package insured or protected?

No. At this time, the platform does not provide insurance or guarantee the condition or successful delivery of any package. Use of the service is at your own risk. Consider using additional safeguards or insurance from a third-party provider if needed.

Can I track the status of my package?

Basic tracking, including status updates from the Traveler, will be available through your account dashboard. However, real-time tracking is not guaranteed and depends on Traveler participation.

Is the Traveler officially vetted or endorsed by the platform?

No. Travelers are required to submit valid government-issued identification for verification purposes. However, this submission does not constitute any endorsement, guarantee, or assurance of reliability by the platform.

What are the requirements to become a Traveler?

To be listed as a Traveler, you must upload a valid government-issued ID (e.g., passport or driver’s license) and agree to our Terms of Use. Verification is required solely for documentation purposes and does not imply endorsement or certification by the platform.

Does uploading my ID mean I’m approved or trusted by the platform?

No. ID verification confirms that a valid document was submitted. It does not mean the platform certifies or endorses you. All Travelers operate independently, and all interactions occur at the users’ own risk.

Can I earn money as a Traveler?

The platform does not charge fees or process payments. Any compensation or appreciation is agreed directly between you and the sender. We do not monitor or participate in those arrangements.

Am I responsible for the contents of packages I carry?

Yes. As a Traveler, you are responsible for ensuring you are not transporting anything illegal, restricted, or in violation of customs regulations. You are also fully liable for the contents of any item you accept.

Can I refuse to carry a package after viewing its details?

Yes. You are never obligated to accept a delivery. If you have concerns about an item’s content, weight, legality, or the sender, you should not accept it. Once accepted, however, you are expected to follow through with the agreed-upon delivery.

Does the platform help in case of disputes or lost items?

No. The platform does not mediate disputes or handle claims related to loss, theft, or miscommunication. Use of the service is entirely at your own risk, and you should take all necessary precautions before agreeing to transport a package.

Do I have to pay to use the platform?

No. Accessing and using the platform is completely free for both senders and travelers. There are no membership fees or hidden charges.

How is this site funded?

The platform operates through voluntary user donations. If you find the service valuable, you’re welcome to contribute and help cover hosting, development, and support costs.

Are donations required?

Not at all. Donations are completely optional. You can use the full range of services without donating. But if you believe in what we're building, your support helps us stay online and improve.

How can I donate to support the platform?

Donation options will be available via your user dashboard or on our dedicated support page. You can donate securely using standard payment methods. All contributions go directly toward operating costs.

Are payments between users handled through the platform?

No. The platform does not process payments, fees, or transactions between users. Any compensation or goodwill exchange is handled independently and entirely at your discretion and risk.

Can I see where my donation goes?

Yes. We strive for transparency and will periodically post breakdowns of how donations are used—covering hosting, maintenance, development, and future improvements to the platform.
